FAQ — Before You Buy

Is this necklace really one of a kind?

Yes. Truly.
Each upcycled piece is created from reclaimed or vintage jewelry components and cannot be recreated. Once it sells, it’s gone forever. You won’t see it again on anyone else.

What does “upcycled jewelry” mean?

Upcycled jewelry means existing pieces—like vintage brooches or unused components—are reworked and transformed into entirely new designs.
It’s sustainable, intentional, and keeps beautiful materials out of landfills while giving them a new life.

What materials are used? Will it tarnish?

We primarily use stainless steel chains for hypoallergenic purposes, longevity, and everyday wear. Stainless steel is resistant to tarnishing and fading.
Upcycled elements may vary (vintage metals, enamel, crystals), which is part of their charm and uniqueness.

Will this feel heavy or uncomfortable to wear?

No — each piece is thoughtfully balanced for wearability.
While statement-making in appearance, our necklaces are designed to feel comfortable for extended wear without pulling or strain.

How do I know the necklace length will work for me?

Each product listing includes:

  • Chain type

  • Necklace length

  • Fit description (choker, collarbone, or mid-chest)

If you’re unsure, we recommend measuring a necklace you already love or using a soft measuring tape around your neck to preview the length before purchasing.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Because many pieces are one-of-a-kind and/or upcycled, all sales are final. We do offer free repairs so that you can continue to cherish your fave K&A jewelry.
This allows us to create sustainably, avoid waste, and keep pricing fair. We encourage thoughtful purchasing and provide detailed photos and descriptions to help you buy with confidence.

What if I’m worried it won’t look like the photos?

We photograph each piece honestly and from multiple angles to show true color, scale, and texture.
Because these are upcycled and handcrafted, minor variations are expected—and celebrated—as part of the design.
